The National Center for the Training of Bank Personnel of Ukraine was established on November 17, 1993 by the decree of the Parliament of Ukraine ¹3613-XII "On establishing the National
Center for the Training of Bank Personnel". |
Mission
The Center's mission is training and re-training of the Ukraine banking system personnel of all levels.
Primary objectives
- providing professional training to Ukrainian bank managers and other bank personnel;
- providing professional training of professors and instructors in banking;
- conducting scientific researches and offering consulting services on banking issues to both government and commercial
organizations and institutions;
Founders
The Center was established as non-profit, financially self-sustainable institution.
The National Bank of Ukraine and the Association of Ukrainian banks are the founders and coordinators of the National
Center.
The Center and its founders during ten years of activity have created environment for successful implementation of training programs:
- The National Centre is situated in the central district of Kyiv;
- It possesses a library of training and methodological materials, modern office equipment, copying and display facilities, a computer class and a language laboratory.
Licence
The National Center for the Training of Bank Personnel has the licence of Ministry of Education of Ukraine ¹363178 from 26.06.2007 for conducting of educational activities, namely training and re-training on the next directions: "Banking", "Finance", "Accounting and Audit", "Marketing", "HR Management", "Exchange operations", "External Economic Management", "English for Bankers"

The National Center for the Training of Bank Personnel is a full member of the European Banking Training Network
(EBTN) and the New Independent States Association of Bank Institutes.

II. Medium-term certification programs
The Center has developed and successfully implements following certification programs: Internal Audit, Banking Management, Risk Management, Accounting in a Bank, Banking Law, Foreign Exchange Operations, Foreign Excnahge Control, English Banking Terminology.
III. Long-term certification programs
The Center has developed and successfully implements long term program "English for Bankers" counted on 300 ac.hours
IV. Organization and participation in the internaional programs:
- Organization of seminars with foreign instructors and consultants
- Organization of seminars and professional programs abroad
- Participation in the donor programs of USAID, Tacis, PAUCI, Eurasia etc related to the preparation of banking specialists as well as financial and banking sector development
- Development and realization of joint programs with the European Bank Training Network as well as NIS Association of Banking Institutions
V. Organization and conducting of the corporate seminars (programs) on demand of banks
The Center individually develops and conducts seminars and consultations on demand of banks, which take into account the strategy of the concrete bank, its organizational strategy and specialization. In the period 01.01.2001 - 01.01.2007 the Center conducted special seminars for JSCB "Ukrsotsbank", CB "Privatbank", SEIBU "Ukreximbank", Kharkov Banking College, JSPPB "Aval", JSC "Nadra", Project Monitoring Unit of the National Bank of Ukraine, JSB "Ukrprofbank", JSB "Ikar-Bank", JSC "Dongorbank", JSB "Kyivs'ka Rus'", JSIB "UkrSibbank" (altogether more than 800 persons)
VI. Organization of conference and "round tables"
Every year the Center conucts approximately five events having an object discussing of actual questions of the Ukrainian banking and financial sector development. Specialists of commercial banks, other financial institutions as well as representatives of institutions regulating the sector's activity participate in these events
